Coaching for Leaders, Managers, Spokespersons and Communicators
Loeb Group executive coaching is one-on-one time with an expert who is 100% invested in your success. The coaching relationship builds skills, challenges existing mindsets and introduces new perspectives, and boosts confidence.
Coaching relationships are typically short-term: often three consecutive months, or quarterly for a defined set of time, depending on the client’s needs and schedule. The coach and client, with input culled from a self-assessment and the client’s supervisor, identify concrete desired outcomes.
Trust between the coach and client is hugely important and each relationship is discreet. The descriptions below are potential areas of focus for one-on-one coaching, but as each individual’s needs and goals are different, so is the scope of the coaching relationship.

Leadership Grooming: How to Build Your Leadership Skills

“What an eye-opener. I could feel the difference…and power!” “I worked with Beryl Loeb as a presentation coach. She is terrific, even with very senior executives – her mind works at the necessary speed; she pushes back deftly, she gets great results.” “Loeb Group media training will absolutely help me be more successful in media interviews but it will also help me talk about my business more clearly in all communication.” |
New Manager Coaching: How to Transition Into Your New Managerial Role
New manager coaching is helpful when a star performer is promoted to manager and would benefit from intensive coaching re: 1) expectations, 2) demystifying the new role and responsibilities, 3) ways to build influence vs. assert power (the old “Get it done because I told you so” just doesn’t work in today’s workplace), and 4) techniques and tips to motivate, delegate and empower team members.

Manager Coaching: How Good Managers Become Better Managers
The reality is that even long-standing managers can benefit from the opportunity to step back from the day-to-day demands and focus on boosting their critical skills for further professional growth. The coaching relationship is also an opportunity to explore management techniques that may not be working anymore with Gen Y employees. Coaching is an opportunity to re-ground and re-energize the manager.

Executive Spokesperson Media Coaching: How to Confidently Convey Your Messages in Media Interviews
Many business executives dread talking with the press almost as much as they dread making presentations. But the 24/7-news cycle means that there’s an increasing demand for smart, articulate and passionate spokespersons. While small group media training is beneficial because spokespersons benefit from shared learning with their peers, one-on-one media coaching means four hours of intensive focus on one spokesperson’s messages, strengths and areas for fine-tuning.

Interpersonal Communication Coaching: How to Polish Important One-to-One Communication Skills
Many managers and senior executives are so busy getting the job done that their interpersonal communication skills become a little “rough around the edges.” Future professional opportunities require polishing those rough edges. This coaching introduces new communication skills, strategies and tools for giving feedback about performance, delegating projects, engaging in critical conversations with internal and external audiences, and includes intensive role-playing within the safety of the coaching relationship.

Business Presentation Skills Coaching: How to Boost Your Presentation Impact
Many very smart and competent managers and senior executives dread making business presentations. Often they have trouble finding their own voice and recognize that they would benefit from an intensive, one-on-one focus on their personal presentation style and delivery. All presentation skills coaching include intensive practice (with videotaping) and constructive critique.
